SkyCaddie SGX Review

The SkyCaddie SGX is one of the top-end models from the Skycaddie range. At over $300 you really do need to ensure it is right for you before you part with your hard earned money. With so many other manufacturers of these excellent golf gadgets including Sonocaddie and Callaway you will need to read this SkyCaddie SGX review for all the facts.

The first things you'll notice on the SGX is the very sharp 3 inch High Definition LCD display. This really is a great help when on the course as the level of detail ensures you don't waste a lot of time squinting to read the display.

Detailed SkyCaddie SGX Reviews from users:

SGX User Review: T. Kelso (Ohio)
I recently purchased the SGX and like most people had a problem trying to register the product. When I tried to sync on my computer with Windows 7 and 64 bit, I never did get it to sync, so I took it to office and was able to work on my XP machine. The have a temporary fix for Windows 7, but real fix will come shortly. As far as use and ease of use, this is the best GPS I have had and I have had a previous sky caddie and most recently a upro. What I like best is the clearity of the screen and how fast it reads the yardage. As with any product brand new on the market, there are normally a few bugs, but this product is worth the hassle. I would have given it 5 stars if it did not have the sync problems.

More SkyCaddie SGX Reviews

The SGX has a number of mixed reviews and although a lot of people do like the SGX there is one thing that really annoys me about these new golf gadgets. There is only a 30 day warranty which I assume is because these devices are expected to be given a tough time as they are thrown into golf bags. And are likely to be used in all sorts of weather conditions.

I'd be happy to pay a little extra and buy something which is a little more robust and can stand up to all sorts of weather conditions. If you can spend a little more for something that has much better Waterproof then I suggest the Garmin Approach G5.
